1991 ZZR400 Starting problems
Just brought a zzr which was suppose to run It cranks And backfires so loud and sometimes it Starts firing but Wont start Any help im new here I would appreciate any Help thanks .
To start with, check your spark plug and replace it. Its not that expensive. If the bike was sitting a long time, plugs do go bad. Make sure the gas is not stagnant, if yes, drain the tank and carb and put in fresh gas. tell me a little more about the bike. Milage, condition, weather its been sitting or not. Take off the air cleaner and crank it over and see if it blows back through the carb, if it does, it could be timing or a bad valve. If who yo bought it from says its supposed to run, you should have heard it run before you bought it. If the guy says its supposed to run, then chances are it hasn't run for a long time otherwise he would know for sure. Check those things and get back to me.
