I went looking to replace my V900 Classic LT yesterday because it was to small and ran into a conundrum.

The 1700 and the 2k. The 2k I can get for the same price as the 1700. I'm hearing that the 1700 is new, but I see no reviews.

Does anyone have any thoughts on these?

No clue!!! Have you sat on each one? Will they let you do test drives?

 

Actually, I was looking towards the mechanical side of things. The 1700 is a new design and and the 2k is just cheap to get it off the dealer floor.

I have "sat" on both and they seem well balanced. I did notice that the 1700 is now a 6-speed and am wondering why or if the 2k will shortly be so. OR as to if it really matters...

Just not sure about other mechanics. Hoping for some more experienced thoughts.

My only characteristic is that I ride long roads in AZ.

I gotcha.....I like the styling of the 2000 myself. 2k has 141 ft lbs of torque. NICE! You could pull a dam 16' tandem with that. LOL..... If I run across a good review somewhere, I'll let chu know tho.
