Default Sport bike riding with tank bags?

do any of you guys out there that ride sportbikes carry a tank bag on the tank when riding? i ride a 2007 ZX-6R and just bought a joe rocket tank bag and i think its gonna make long rides a little better or even when riding around town and swinging by best buy to pick up a cd or whatnot... you can stash it in the bag and not have to worry about it coming out of your jacket or wherever you have it on the ride home or back out on the town.

here is the bag i bought. got it for 36 bucks. not bad. this will be a great place to stash my gun, wallet, insurance information, and other goodies when out riding. anyone else carry one of these?

Better have a concealed license on your one item to be stashing. I use a tank bag as well on long cruises. Sounds like you did well on the tank bag.

I keep thinking they would be handy, but have never pulled the trigger on getting one. Maybe I will now that I see some good responses here.

(Not sure I'd want to risk crashing while "packin'." Doubt if my insurance would cover firearm discharge and any resulting injury to me or someone else...)IMHO

I use a tank bag also. Cortech. Couldn't live without it. The gun is always on me, yes have carry permit, but don't put the gun in the tank bag.

Tank bag can make the difference of having to take car to home depot for summin small, or bike. Bike with tank bag good. lol

why are you carrying while you are riding anyway, unless your on the job and ride to and from work, i had a locker to keep mine at work, and if your area is that bad woulden't you keep it some place where its quicker to get to like in a pancake holster or something?? just a thought
