i went to payless shoes and got boots for like 30 bux......stanley brand....pretty comfy...hey you wouldnt be taking the course at stewart air force base would you....assuming yer from new york...

No I'm in CT, the course is at the base in East Granby (which happens to be my hometown).
Speaking of which, if anyone is from CT do they know of any stores that carry Icon gear? |

If this is your first time, dont own a bike and dunno if your going to keep up with it.....get cheap boots and cheap gloves. Dont need to do like some of us and have $1200 leathers, $200 boots and $150 gloves.

During the MSF course, you will be putting your gloves on and taking them off alot, so take something comfortable, yet grippy. I had an old pair of BMX gloves i used, and they worked fine. Some boots with ankle protection would be a good idea though, but you don't need race boots for that. |

Dude buy what you will wear while you ride your bike on a regular. Don't spend a lot on bs. Spend your money on the gloves you see yourself wearing for the entire season and boots the same way. If you get out the class and see yourself in a pair of timbo's and some of those cheat mechanic gloves, than get them. |
