Default Why we have the DIY section (NEWBIES read THIS!!!!)

I've noticed just about every new guy here with a technical question goes straight to the DIY section. THIS IS NOT THE SECTION TO POST TECH QUESTIONS!

The DIY section is for the exact opposite reason. This section is to allow people with good technical write-ups a way to SHARE with people how to DO IT YOURSELF on various subjects such as a Sprocket change, Headlight replacement, Carburettor adjustment, etc...

If you have a TECH QUESTION, go to the GENERAL TECH section to ask. DON'T POST YOUR TECH QUESTIONS HERE!

I wonder if a moderator could keep this post at the top of the DIY index.... That would be a very good idea!

shouldn't be necessary since the sticky at the top posted 2 years ago already states that its for "how to" information and not tech questions.

If people were reading that guideline posted 2 years ago, I wouldn't be posting this topic we're all reading today. You're still new here, but go ahead and read all the posts before this one. Just about every one of them is a tech question post. The simple fact is people don't read those guidelines like they should.
