So I have put vinyl on smaller parts of my bike, fork guard, and headlight shroud.

But my question is at what point are you not able to put vinyl on a surface due to imperfections such as small gauges, large scratches, and such.

My larger parts such as the side fairings have some scratches and dents, but I would like to put vinyl on them to change my bike from green to a different colour. this is mostly because I want to cover up the scratches and UV damage it has.

so how bad will it look with that underneath it? anyone familiar with this sort of job?

Edit: also any info on good colours to hide imperfections would be amazing. I know white works well but I dont know how well white would look on my KLX
