Puig carbon hugger install
step 1: Remove stock chain guard. (this just allows you to have access to 1 of the 2 nuts holding on the hugger)(3 bolts)
step 2: take square mount and put the supplyed foam tape on the inside of mount (this is to prevent the mount from moving or scratching you frame)
step 3: Put the square mount on frame above where the stock chain guard is located. (the mounting hole on top facing the wheel)
Step 4: On the other side (brake side or left) take off the rear brake line holder. (held on by one bolt on the swing arm)
Step 5: Grab the "L" shaped mount and mount it under the rear brake line holder. (as shown in the pick below)
Step 6: now just put the hugger in place, make some adjustments to get it centered on the tire and then tighten everything down.
Step 7: Put the stock chain guard back on and your done.
NOTES: It takes some adjustments to get it straight, so you have to loosen tighten loosen tighten but its not that hard. Just make sure you get it adjusted before you put the chain guard back on or you wont have access to the one nut.
also the directions really suck that came with it. So the mount on the brake side is on the way i felt it made the hugger fit the best. It doesnt tell you which way it goes, but i tried every way possible and it fits the best the way i have it.
On a scale of 1-10 i give this about a 2. No special tools needed.
Tools needed-
socket set(sorry no sizes)
Bike tool kit (allens)
razor to trim foam
open ended wrench( i think this was in the tool kit but not sure, i had tools already there)
