Auxillary power port install
Well after having all my parts to put a power port on my bike, I finally got it done. I bought the port at O'reilleys. It is an all weather port that has a spring loaded door with gasket on it and the area where the ground and power wire go into the back are glued in really good with melted silicone or whatever you call it. Bought an inline fuse holder that is water proof too and extra 20amp fuses also from o'reilleys.
Here is the bracket I made. Its a piece of aluminum angle.
I left enough of the angle on there so its structural.
Power Port installed.
Only good place I could find to mount it. I didnt want to modify the bike in any way. I'd rather add something than take away something.
Here is the ground wire. Its on the left side where the this wire bail holds all the wires and cables next to the steering head.
