you will save yourself a ton of money if you pull off your plastics and sand them yourself before going somewhere to paint. Very easy to do, plus it's almost like it's some bonding time with your ride. Paint jobs tend to get fairly pricey with all the time invested into it, so the more you can do yourself the better off you'll be. You can even order your paint online or from a local paint supplier and that will save you some money as well

sand paper for sanding down all the fairings isn't very much, just hit up your local hardware store for that. I had first painted my bike all black, and I bought the paint at a supply place near me that I found by searching yahoo for right around 75 bucks, and another 20 or so for primer. The new redish orange color I have on my bike was around that same price too, except I found it at an online paint supply site. i sprayed the primer myself because you don't necessarily need a paint booth for that, just a nice sunny day, a spray gun, and a compressor. As far as the actual paint job itself I lucked out having a room mate that works at a body shop. He took my fairings in once they were completely ready to go and painted it for free....so Im not sure how much that would come out to, but its bound to be significantly less expensive if you do as much as you can yourself. You may also find that your paint will cost more if you are wanting different styles of paint then what I chose. I have a single stage paint which requires no clear coat over it, I'm sure getting clear coat and what not will add a little to the overall price.

if you go with House of Kolors, you can count on $400+ all in
