Default Plastics or fiberglass

Okay, I'm a newbie so please be gentle with you comments. I tore up the upper fairing on my little 250. and have waited to get better on the bike before buying new ones. The factory stuff is like 600 with decals (plastics) or I can get the complete upper and lower unpainted fiberglass fairing from a website I found for almost half the price. Question #1) What is the difference between fiberglass and plastic; Question #2) what does is cost, on average, to have that painted? Would I end up spending about the same?

painting can very a lot - but you are better off getting the stock plastics. probably end up costing about the same and the plastics will fit better.

Yup; I agree. Stay with the stock plastic unless you plan to use the 250 as a track bike or stunt bike (neither of which I would recommend, BTW). You'll get better resale out of it later. Keep watching Kaw sites like this one, or even e-bay (but demand pictures and assurance/return if damaged or cracked!)
