air box cover smothers engine new air filter if I put the cover on bike will not open up and no power after 57 mph .but once air box cover is removed power returns. problem now is it might be running to lean engine may be getting to hot any suggestions would ne great

 

What new air filter did you go with and what other mods did you do?

 

To tell you the truth I don't remember the name brand but i got it at my local dealer as far as any thing else I have done new rings valve stem oil seals that type of stuff, but know I relize the problem was not getting air to the carbs .What I am trying to figure out is where does the outside air enter into the air box
