Default bringing a 71 gt4r back to life. need help please.

Hey everyone. This is my first post here, so if it is in the wrong section feel free to let me know. Anyways, there is what i am pretty sure is a 71 100cc kawasaki gt4r, maybe a trail boss? i dunno. What i do know is that it has been sitting in the same spot my entire life. And as as you have guessed by noww,i want it running again. This will be my first motorcycle, i rode mopeds when i was younger and for a brief time in college, but always craved more speed. Im a decently handy guy and am quite patient so i think i can handle this undertaking. I thought a free small bike that i could learn a little bit by getting it to run would be a good starting point... i hope.
So aside from draining/cleaning gastank and carb and change oil and spark plug what else should i be looking to doing, What would also be great is if someone has experience with this particular bike and could give me some detailed things to look out for etc.
But of course, all help and comments are appreciated.

Thanks!

Welcome to KF, but I seriously doubt that the 100 will tickle you pink with power.
