hello i have been trying to track down the flat spot bog i have I have replaced all the jets the primary main jet #65 secondary main jet #88 and pilot jet #35 2 new Diaphragms and a new kawasaki air filter. The bike runs fine at idle it has great pull and top end the only problem i have is when i'm cruising at 35mph at 3000 rpm at 1/4 throttle the bike will bog down when i try to accelerate until i get over the flat spot and it revs up great or i have to drop the throttle to just below 1/4 and it again picks up and runs fine but if i'm at 1/4 when it starts to bog i can keep it there until i move the throttle. So i was thinking could the needle jet and needle be worn out at that particular spot and be causing a rich condition hence the bogging ? If so i was thinking about getting these carb kit sense it has the right needle and needle jet with it http://www.nrp-carbs.co.uk/shop/inde...roduct_id=4170. I emailed them and i can have them change the jets to what ever size i want them to be. And 1 other note if the diaphragms on the slide's are not completely straight will that cause the bog ? mine has a cut away for the butterfly to open but the cut away was not stright it was slightly turned on both carbs

you did synch the carbs?

That would be my first try, then maybe shim the needles .5mm to see if the midrange improves. There are kits of course for the needles. Yes they will wear, just not that often of an issue. Just tossin' out ideas. Welcome to KF
