Default Cycle jack on 800 Classic

Ok weird question. I bought a jack from the old Harbor freight so as to get my 800 up in the air. Its the yellow 1500#. When I slide it underneath the bike, I do not like that it wants to pick up on the engine as opposed to the frame. Id rather have it lift via the frame.

I do not think it is wise to life by the engine

I was thinking about putting 2 spacer blocks with 2x4's and cut around the kick stand switch etc.. Thats in the way and I do not see a way around that.

Of those with the 800 how do ya get her up in the air??

thanks

Mike

I have the same lift. I bought 1 inch thick rdubber washers, grooved 2 of them out for the left side of the bike and grdooved 2 out for the rail on the right side, bolted them in and it works fine
