It starts but it seems to draw a lot of power
as in it runs and still drawing power? Or just a hard start with no fire?(most likely).

Pull the plugs, inspect and/or replace. No mention of how long the ride has been sitting. But a good chance of replacing the fuel, fuel filter, draining and flushing the carbs are in order. (Standard Operating Procedure on a sitting ride)

Good luck with the fix and Welcome to KF

Default Hard start 2

No it's not drawing power once it started and it seems to be running fine! Couldn't get it started this morning it was around 42 degrees out . when I got home from work It did start with the same problem. I changed the plug's still everything goes dim, sometimes off when I start it! And I'm thinking it sat for a while because it only has 6400 miles for a 1995 It's a cream puff(or at least i thought it was)

hmm, if you know that you have good connections to your new battery....I would check/clean the low speed circuits on the carbs.

Default hard start problem solved!

I would like to thank those of you who had taken time to help me solve this problem. It seems my new battery was bad.So on the advise of a friend I returned it to the store where I had them check the battery on a load .It was bad, so I decieded to purchases a gel battery! Great decision! it is about 40 degrease this morning and she started right up!!!!If your on the fence about the gel batteries I'm here to tell you" DO IT" It has about 150 more cca then the diehard .I also cleaned every connection i could reach!

right on. Congrats on the fix. I have heard good things on the gel batteries and also the prices are becoming more realistic.
