I have been wanting to make my Drifter 1500 look somewhat more authentic. Has anyone tried to find and/or use a springer or girder front end with the Drifter? I like the idea but I don't know how it would affect the steering geometry and characteristics, not being an engineer. I've also considered trying to adapt real metal fenders to the bike but don't know of anyone who makes aftermarket replacement metal fenders or how the added weight would affect the handling. Any ideas?
