Best of luck to our La. riders!
It ain't looking too good for us down here in the boot. I'm far enough inland that we're just gonna get lots of wind and rain, but according to the NWS projection, it'll still be a CAT 1 when it gets up here (Alexandrai/Pineville). The north-south interstate (I-49) was gridlocked last I had heard, gas is running kinda short.
Just wanna said good luck and God bless to everybody down on the coast, and to get the hell outta town while you still can. I'll be sure and get some cool storm pics when the weather starts to change. And maybe some ride pics from adventuring through town while everybody's stuck because of trees

Just got power back on Friday, and just got cable/internet/phone service back an hour ago. Wow, we got hit hard up here. I'll edit and upload my 100+ pictures and videos and start a thread in "Sights and Sounds" later tonight.

Glad you are back up and running.
New Orleans almost went into the drink again...look at this pic during the storm of the north ward leeves.
Oh yeah, I have been tracking Ike....looks like I'm going to be ok in Florida but he's coming your way...better start getting ready again
This a Sat 5pm track, which is not hot-linked...currently 135 mph with 160 mph gusts....predicted to hit Cuba with 145 mph sustained and 180 gusts
After that ..... hello New Orleans.

Yeah before it got bad here we watched it in NOLA, it was crazy the water splashing over that levee. All my friends down Houma way got hosed. It flooded real bad accross the river in Alexandria, but we didn't flood here in Pineville. (Speculation) The eye of the storm must have passed directly over Alexandria and the bad winds came through Pineville. Our wind damage was WAY worse than in Alexandria and that's only a few miles from where I sit.
Anyways, go check out "Sights and Sounds" for my pictures and I'll edit the video, too.
