96 to 93 zx7r

Welcome to KF Seth
This question would probably be best answered from an exhaust manufacturer.
When they did the major engine configuration in 1991, I am not sure of the other minor changes of the engine, but I would think that the headers would fit with minor mid and tail section changes to fit the new body styles.

thxs dragone.
So how would i go about doing that. ex; contact vance and hines or another exhaust manufacturer see what the difference in the pipes are to see if it would be a complete bolt on with no problems or wether or not id have to make minor body modifications

I would do exactly that and also ask around the different forums like you are doing now. Make sure you do a good search in the forums because I am sure that this has been asked before. Also remember that some exh. manufacturers may not want to spend the time with you because of the older bike, blah, blah, blah. So keep your questions short and sweet. Things get abit rough on a $1000 experiment just to find out that it does not fit or perform like you wanted.
Let us know on the results

I know this is an older post but I wanted to shed some light on it. All 91 to 95 zx7's are a direct swap. The 94 to 97 zx9r will fit but hangs lower due to the height difference of the cylinders and the midpipe is a little longer. The 96 to 2003 zx7's will (in theory) swap to the earlier models but the midpipe is longer on the 96 and newer bikes.

Thanks for the post, 2fat. However, a lot of posters think this is a Kawasaki Hotline; they'll post a question and expect an answer by the end of the day. If they don't get an immediate response, they'll move on. Typically the younger crowd without patience....

I kind of figured that was the case. I answered it so that anyone else looking for the same issue can find the answer.
