Haha i was gonna say i see this big long post thinking hey information all for nothing. Got a lot more pictures i'll put up soon, actually just glad i'll have it running in a few weeks. Glad i kept digging though, all the "fixes" that were previously done meant 5 dry rotted gaskets overlooked, 2 seals falling apart, beat to hell sprockets. Gear box somehow in great shape though, pulled the motor off and too is in great shape for an older ride. I am curious though, the casing was broken (where the gearbox cover attaches to), the bolts i guess broke off, is there a good way to fix that without jerry riggin it? I know welding but not cast welding, and was told JB Weld and re-tap holes, but the problem with that is being it's a casting, the slightest over torque or drill can put hairline cracks in a casting. Any suggestions what to do there? Or just find holes elsewhere to use/design other pieces to hold it into place. I'm already getting a new cover as the last one was...a piece to say at that. Just curious of any tricks to fix castings without spending the money to buy a new one.

Thanks,
Robbie
