RE: just getting into the sport/ gears & apparel
welcome to the forum! Lots of brands and lots of preferences out there. I have a Joe Rocket Ballistics textile jacket w/ removable liner. There are zippered vents all over which seemed to work pretty well the other day when it was 92F.
Check out some of the local stores, try stuff on and see what you like, then check online for the same stuff cheaper. If you look thru some of the old posts there are several links to gear sites, and what people have already. Happy shopping.

Welcome to the KF family. For gear, Try our new sponsor, cyclemartusa. You can also try ebay and do a search around your local zipcode. You should find many in your area and probably can pick the items up also. Textile jackets are good; A helmet and gloves are a must. I always wear a jacket, helmet, gloves, jeans & high-top mechanix shoes (with the laces tucked in to prevent them from getting caught on the pegs when putting my foot down. Already happened.).

One last question thanks!
i was wondering if anyone tried out http://www.motorcyclecloseouts.com/
wondering if it was a legit company.
and if you've tried them out... how long did shipping take.
was customer service horrible/or thumbs up?
prices reasonable? or unreasonable
thanks in advance
