Short ride, bogs then stalls.
Hey all
I picked up a 09 klx250s about a month ago and just now the weather has come around. I have only ridden it a few times and never really far. Right now it seems that if I go for a short ride (3-5 miles) it will start to bog out then stall. If I give it a minute, it will start back up but wil do it again after the same distance.
I have also noticed that it gets a bit eradic at cruising speeds,
I have pulled the carb and gave it a minor clean but it didn't seem to help.
Hoping that you guys might have a few ideas
P.s.
all stock from what I can tell, just removed the snorkel
Thanks

Hard to diagnose from this distance, but your bike seems to be reacting to engine warmth/heat. It seems as the weather and engine warms up, the engine starts to run poorly. This can often indicate a rich condition. It you don't have the ability to contact the original owner, you may not know for sure what the jetting it set at currently.
Then also there's the possibility of a vent line being pinched a bit. This lets the bike run fine until fuel can't flow out of the tank anymore due to the pinched/plugged vent.
Those are the only two possibilities I have at this point...except maybe heat buildup in an electrical/ignition component that tends to fail as it runs a bit.
