AMPs consumption when ignition OFF
#2
I just made a measuring and if I stop the engine and turn the ignition off and measure using ampermeter the current it will show about 20 mA. If I consider that the battery has 7 Amper hours. Therefore by this consumtion it means that battery will be drained out by 7/0,020 hours which is 14,5 days. Something is wrong. Does the draining current decrease after some period of time?
This is my question.
Thanks

Interesting. Acc. to the manual the battery can go flat in a couple of days even with ignition off. For sure the digital dash sucks some current. In August I'll go home for 2 1/2 month and I surely will disconnect the battery

I did not read the value from the multimeter correctly I was confused how small current it is.
That means that the 0.0002A current can drain the battery by 874 days to its 40%
That means that the battery self discharging is much bigger than the discharging by the electronic ECU
That is good information
