Iv got a klt 250 trike i cant get to idle smooth. Theres two ajustment screws anybody know the factory settings to start from? Iv got the idle screw about one turn out and the other one flush with the body and its almost good but still not right

 

yea i got a klt 250c bad *** bikes...ne ways turn both the screws in all the way with the bike off. then back them out about three four turns. see how that runs if its still bad take the carb off carefully take it apart watch the way every thing comes apart. spray it with carb cleaner every little piece. just make sure u remember how to put it back together. after this use a blow gun on an air compressor to blow it dry. if this doesnt work lay under the bike from the clutch side look up ull see a gold fuel (pump) there should b four lines the two that r visible about 1/4 - 1/2 inch long with a pinch clamp on each end. i just replaced mine cause they were dry cracked and ****, also fill the gas tank to the bend with fuel and turn key on for a couple mins. after the new fuel lines are in. and carb is back on.... let me know how u make out... try sending me a pic of ur bike. my e-mail is clist1236@yahoo.com

i ran into a guy on the internet who races and has klt 250's i sent my carb to him and he disasembled cleaned and adjusted it for 23.00 it runs and idles perfect. i just paid postage and sent return with it.
