Does anybody know approximately how much h.p. you would gain from going with a Wiseco high compression piston kit with the stock bore? I am thinking about doing it and running VP 112 octane race gas to get that extra little bit of power for the dunes, but if its not worth it im thinkin about getting the maxrpms 455 kit, but its 2 grand.... little help on a power estimate with just the piston, i currently run a full White Brothers E2 full exhaust, KN kit W/ no airbox, Dynojet stage two, and Big Gun rev box, and a Powernow and Powernow Plus kits.... as far as the motor goes, thats about it

 

If you are going to replace the piston, you might as well go with a big bore. There are plenty of options and for that little bit more $$$ you can have a powerhouse.

One of the best bangs for the buck is the athena 434 kit. the kit can be had for around $550.

Throw in some hotcams and an FCR carb off a yfz and you should still be under $1000.

If you are going to spend $2G, I would honestly just send my motor off to Yoshimura for a 450 Stroker kit. That thing claims to make over 50HP and is as tough and durable as your stock motor.

 

your quad is sick as hell, but i thought about it and im gettin the wiseco 440 kit at 13:5:1 compression, i talked to a friend that works at a machine shop and he is gonna port and polish my header and do all the boring and sleeve it and weld and balance my crank and all that junk then i should be able to take my friends predator on the hill climbs at the dunes after that.... it sucks how much wanting the faster quad costs... but i also have... works triple rate, roll design +2+1 arms, durablue +2 axle, roll design nerf bars, pro armor skids bumper and grab bar... its time to dig into the motor a lil more, i found a kit with piston, gaskets, rings, pin, and clips for $260 at 13:5:1 comp.
