Brute Force 2005 and 2006 same trouble
OK, reading on the web and I have read about the numerous probs with these machince. I just bought one and it has had the air intake system upgraded, but my buddie's does not... can someone give me a reccomedation for where he can get a air intake kit?
Also - More major of a prob... We are both experiencing the following ...
Almost guarantee it's the "Buss Connector" under the rear fender plastic, tied to the frame next to filler neck of gas tank . I'ts a white connector taped in the bundle. Something like 5 blacks, 5 whites, 4 browns something like that, cut the blacks individually out of the connector and solder and seal 'em same goes for the other colors. All the blacks together, whites and browns just don't mix the colors together. Anyway my '06 ran like crap, backfire, overheating, dash troubles, belt light, ect. found out about this faulty connector, repaired it and perfect now, it was so great to actually hear the fan kick on. Hope this helps.
I saw this 'fix' about removing the buss connector. All I know is that when my fan is running, there is none of the above troubles... when it's not, my quad overheats, and the lights on the dash do funny things... Is this reccomended to do? How have you seen it done?:
Thanks,
George
