$6900 w/ HJC helmet, and Alpinestar gloves. I don't knowwhere you are, but here you could get a new 6r foraround $8000. Msrp on the zzr is only $7200.

I guess it depends on a lot of things, but you can usually get "out the door" with the MSRP if you work it right. Don't feel bad, though, I'm no good at those kinds of deals either. I paid a few hundred over MSRP for my Nomad OTD.

I try my best to be nice when making a big purchase, but always end up being a total bastard until I get what I want...

Its all about strategy, I got approved by kawi, then went to the big dealership, got the lowest price I could, then left and emailed the other dealerships in town the price, and included the extras I wanted (lied a little). By competing with one another I ended up getting a good deal. No tax on motorcycles in KY where I bought the bike either.:D

No tax -sweet. You played 'em like they oughtta be played theway charge for labor -for people that actually use them.

True about the labor charges, I found a great shop here called miami cycle works for people in the Cincinnati area. They don't kill you with crazy labor charges, and like to give you the option of comfort vs. performance when doing their adjustments on your bike. I opted for performance of course. But for the usual stuff I have just learned to do do the work myself. Plus, it's fun !

I hear ya. I don't mind the routine maintenance but sometimes I have no choice. There's only one shop here in town. They're pretty nice, but labor is $75 an hour.

When I get ready to buy that concours or ZX-6R I'm going to try to get the OTD for MSRP deal.
