EXHAUST?
OK, New to the board and new to this bike. I am wanting to do what seems to be the most common upgrade, the exhaust. I want something loud enough to be heard but quieter than the straight pipe!! Any ideas? Also, has anyone done a custom fit one to fit under the seat like the zx6r? i am considering just making my own with a resinator instead! How aboyut places to get a new windscreen?

RE: EXHAUST?
You would have to mod the swingarm to fit an underseat...not worth the effort IMHO.
Here is the one I am gonna get. http://www.indysuperbike.com/custome...943&page=1 ...carbon fiber of course[8D] |

Welcome to the KF family. Can't help you with the exhaust issue, but somebody on here will be able to.

RE: EXHAUST?
Well first off, let me say thanks for the warm welcome. Seems shortly as i bought the bike(roughly 8 days) i get orders to Germany. Now i am debating storing the bike or taking it with me to Europe to use it to its full potential.
Regarding the exhaust, after rearching, dont think an underseat is possible at this time, but i liked the scorpian exhaust. Dont know if its quite as loud as i wanted. What do you all use or reccommend? |
RE: EXHAUST?
I have a Yoshimura RS-3 Bolt-on (Stainless Steel) on my '07 ZZR600. It's not too loud and not too quiet... just the way I like it. There are a lot of options out there and I'm sure you'll find one that suits your personal preference. You can also check out youtube.com and search for ZZR600. You will find bikes with different cansinstalledand could listen on how they sound. Maybe that'll help you decide.

RE: EXHAUST?
I'd say take it to Europe with you. As much as gas costs over there, you'll be glad you did. Besides, what better way can you think of to explore Europe on your 4-day weekends? When I get home, I may be putting in a request for Germany.
