This is my firsr kaw. I notice that there is,what sounds like, gear noise. Is this normal. Its a sweet bike but the noise is somthing I'm not that use to. Also I noticed the the tach is sluggish after it got cooler and no easy way to remove it. Any comments?

Noise at idle or while moving and in any certain gear?

 

The noise is there all the time in gear or out. It also follows the throttle,ge.tting a higher pitch with increased throttle.Its like a bunch of gears whining, Its not an uncomfortable sound ,it's just Iv'e never heard it before this bike. Also how do you disconnect the light bulbs in the tach?...hawken...

 

Hmmm. How many miles? I'd check the valves and cam chain, just to be on the safe side.
