im looking to possible upgrade from my current zx6rr 03 to a z1000. I really starting to love the look of the nakedness and just want to here a few opinions of those who have gone from a super sport to the sport (how are these categories differentiated, comfort?). id like a little more comfort, and the ninja doesnt deliver in this department. this isnt far from a stripped down zx10 i take it?

 

Just got an "03 and really like it. Not much of an authority since I usually ride cruisers but this bike is just plain fun and very fast. Like it better than my son's Ninja as far as how I sit on it.

The Z is tuned down from a zx-10, your 600 is faster top end, the Z will be a tad bit quicker up to 120mph after that your 6rr will toast it. The Z IMO is not any more forgiving in the comfort department than your rr especially if you like to go fast. The wind will hit you very hard and tire ya out quick from tryin to hang on.I would keep the rr!! I just got the Z cuz the insurance was cheap and I got a smokin deal on it. The Z might be the bike for you who knows till ya ride one. Try to get a test ride somewhere.
