RE: gixxer put in its place
Make them fear your bike. That's what I'm talking about. That was a smart choice, letting somebody with some experience race it for you. Way to stay alive! Next time you should tell them to take it to the dragstrip... that way you have a time slip that has a big "W" on the winning side. Having a slip that shows how bad you beat somebody is so much better than having to rely on eyes for that. When somebody wants to race my Mustang, I just throw them my timeslip (which I used to carry around in my wallet) and tell them that if they can't beat that, don't even waste my time. Of course, my timeslip is from when the Muskrat was stock, had a burnt slug and an alternator pushing 11VDC (this was also a day or two before that alternator caught fire).

A few weeks ago, I was riding my 14 and stopped at a red light. Up pulls a ZO6 Vett. He reved it up a little and pointed his finger down the road like, you want to drag.
I let him take the first hit then romped the 14.
He got me about two car lengths on the hit but after about 200 feet I caught up and was pulling him. By the time we got to the next light, ( about 1/2 mile down the highway, I was around 8-10 car lengths ahead or so.
I doubt if I ever exceeded 10.5 K rpms between gears but let me tell you, the Z06 is fast, and I think I was doing around 180 by the time I let off.
I was trying to watch for cops but when the world looks like a blurr, it is hard to see them. After this was all over I decided that it was stupid to do this on a public highway so the next time some guy in a car wants to drag, I am just going to tell him to pull over and let him know that I will meet him at the track.
It is easy to be impulsive when you ride a Kawasaki.

RE: gixxer put in its place
Had2 gixxersfollowingme one day on some twisties. Made some bonehead passes around cars and they were still there. About a half hour of playing cat and mouse I came up on a Harley guy and played it cool behind him for the last 2 miles or so. All 3 of use came to a stop sign, one of the gizzers passed me at to get to the stop sign before me, what a douche. I looked back at the other guy to say what's up, he just knodded and rode away. Must of been a couple of flamers because they were on the same colored liter bikes.
If it was kawi guys we would of been talking for a few minutes and throwing high fives!
