Hey! Nice job! How come you only ran 1/8th and not a 1/4 mile? I'm new to the track stuff, so please be kind. I am going to do a track school this summer. My goal is to gain enough experience and confidence to join a club, and start amateur road racing. I think I will start by going to some races, and volunteering to do pit work and flag duty. I'm not too sure what classes are available to race in here in Canada, so meeting some racers will definitely help. Do you think there would be a 250cc class for adults? I don't want to ruin the racing for kids, or look like a moron out there! Anyways, nice run on the bike.

Hey CDN, check out NESBA.com, or WERA.com, or Google "roadrace schools." Best advice I have, is to go to as many races as you can; even as a spectator, and visit the pits between the races. Most of the riders are genuinely nice guys; they used to be just like you. There's no substitute for face time with the people you want to run with. Not sure if the old yamaha TZ250's are still popular across the border? Good luck!

Hey thanks for the advice and info. I'll give it a try, and see what happens.

Got it. I was just wondering. Thanks. Do you have pics of your bike on here some where? I'd like to see it.

here is a pic of her when she was stretch and the others are how she looks now

Thanks for the pics! I have a 2005 ZX6R (636cc). My bike is completely stock, except the looks. I noticed that you have done quite a bit of modifying to your bike, with the aftermarket exhaust, power commander and such. If you were in my position, with a stock bike, would you still make all the same changes? What gave you the most performance gains?
P.S. Don't forget to vote for the bike of the month for March! |
