Default Some new mods

Just thought I would share my recents mods.

I got a new set of tires. These are Shinko 244's, more of a 50/50 tire. Since I commute every day to work, I wanted more of a pavement tire. You cannot beat the price, I got both front and back tires, and two heavy duty tubes for under $120. These seem to be pretty decent on pavement and pretty good off road. I know on gravel, these things are awesome. The front end no longer washes out on me, I can now fly around gravel corners as fast as I want.

Also, this was my first ever attemp at changing my own tires. I think everybody should do it this way, not bad at all.

I also add a trail tech temp gauge. I was always curious how hot my bike got with the big bore. The bike actually runs really cool, especially while at speeds over 20 mph. Kind of weird that the temp stays on all the time, so even while shut off over night, it still shows the temp, hence the 79 degrees.

Last but not least, I finally got a 15 tooth front sprocket. I tried to install it but I could not bust the nut free (even with a breaker bar) I will have to take it into the shop with a heavy duty impact gun. I am excited about this, should give me a little bit better cruising speed, the bike definitely has the power.

Your dog looks happy with your tire choice, too!

I couldn't get my CS nut off either. I had to take it in too.

You will luv the Shinkos. I have them on both of my bikes. Work great on street and offroad. If you have the extra funds, get an impact gun to take off the front sprocket. Well worth the money and works great for taking off vehicle wheels also.

Save your money. Just go buy one of those electric i impact drive from harbor freight. Only 40$ when I bought mine. Took like 5 seconds to loosen with my wife stepping on the brake. Now I have tools I need and money saved from going to the shop every time I change sprockets.
