Talking Not sure I like it.......

February took the B.R.C having never been on a motorbike/cycle as an operator. Had a buddy in the Navy who had a Ducati that I caught a ride with a few times but that was, um late 60's. Anyway the BRC was a blast. I kinda did this cause a good friend who is into mtr bikes has been urging me to give it a try for years. Bought the KLX250s and took delivery March 8th, '12. I live about 3-5 miles from F.S. dirt/sand desert one way and about 7-8 miles from the Pines and assorted high elevation foliage and F.S. roads/trails another way, oh and it's twisty pavement gettin there. So I can ride in mid-level desert (3-4 thousand feet) or in terrain up to just shy of 8000' feet all within a short distance. The odometer on my klx just turned 2000 miles yesterday (4mos.) and I am not sure I like it! Guess I'll just keep riding till I figure it out. Like early tomorrow morning!
Anyway thanks to my friend for urging me to try something that is to much fun! And BTW thanks to all of you guys and this forum for a source of great questions, answers and information.

back when i was first dating my now wife i was trying to get her into riding and she didn't like it much and it was because it was out of her comfort zone and after a year or two she was able to get comfortabe with it and now she really loves riding, i guess what i'm saying is that 4mos is no time at all really to decide that yet give it a year or so and then make the call, but that may just be me and my bias because of my lifetime love afair with riding(25yrs)

edit: nm on that i get what you are saying now lol

Congrats... I have about 1500 miles on mine and it's over 3 years old! I don't seem to get much riding in when I have to keep going where the Army sends me... but I do love it. It would be great to see some pix of your bike!

I get the impression he is joking... 2000 miles in 4 months! I'd say he really does like it!

LMAO. Didn't mean to mislead anyone, I guess you just never know how the printed sarcasm/humor is going to be interpreted. Yes I really am having a blast and there's no turning back, especially since I am fortunate to live so close to lots of great riding. Once I figure out how to post a snapshot or two I'll pass some on. As for the 2000 miles in 4mos, not a lot for some, but for a guy just starting out at 65 maybe not to bad. I'm planning some longer back country trips as I gain a bit more knowledge & experience. Right now my average ride is around 35-45 miles, longest dirt day was about 35 miles with and addional 25 pavement, that's about when I ordered the Seat Concept seat I think.

just needed to ride another 10-20 miles, then you wont even worry about a good seat anymore since your butt goes numb hahaha
