Default Said goodbye to the klx today....

Well I went and did it! Traded the klx in today for a 2009 Kawasaki Versys. Only got to put on 15 miles before I had to come home, but I love it! I will miss the klx and all the information I've gotten from all you great members!
I am looking forward to be able to go further( 5 gal. tank) and faster at less rpms. The Versys is extremly stable and handles very well. I am looking forward to getting my break in miles over faster and smoother than the klx. I never did go off road with the klx, so I guess I didn't really think my puchase out well, but the klx gave me the love of the road and the wind in my face!!

Anybody interested in a windshield for an 09 klx250s( from Turbo City) send me a private message and we'll talk price-- I also have the front rack that bolts right to the windshield bracket for when it's warmer and you want the air. I strapped a water bottle to my front rack for drinks at the lights and smoke and *** breaks on long rides in the country.
Thanks for all the help and friendships guys!!!

Congrats on the new bike!

I saw a 2009 Versys in that catchy green at the Kawasaki dealer while picking up my parts. It immediately went on the "next bike" list. (So far I am considering a DRZ400 SM, a Versys, or a KLR. I want something a little bigger for longer rides, but I still love the KLX for the short runs!)

DRZ400 SM, a Versys, or a KLR.
Get the F800GS, it is great! A bit pricey but an amazing bike!

Would LOVE to have one of those! Local Beamer dealer has a beautiful grey/blue one- but a little pricy for how much I ride. (Maybe a used one someday- I'll add it to the Craigslist search...)

First bike I almost picked up was a 650 GS. I reconsidered and figured I'd better get something smaller and cheaper to see if I liked to ride first. Luckily, I saw a screamin' green KLX on Craiglist the next day, and was running to the bank for the check!

Your bike will be missed, but glad you are still in the Kawi family. Post up some pics of the new toy.

Well I might as well throw my all time fav bike into the mix. If I ever won the lottery, this is what I would buy in a hot second.
