Why not start with this and mod it...longer range, and meant to do this out of the box.

Of course I'm prejudiced.

 

Agreed, its a lot of work given the Kato is available now
I found it interesting though.
And given the adverture bike scene if growing, maybe Kawasaki could do something in the future.
The KLR650 is looking a bit tired these days.
But they still sell a heap as they are very well priced.
