Default klx400/dr400e

looking at a bigger bike for the end of the year,

ive changed my mine which way i want to go, but i think i have decided on the dr400e or the klx400, i just love it in green(and yes i know its the same bike).

i want a bike with some power, low cost, low maintenance, reliable, water cooled, and a high seat.

ive only heard good things about the dr400e/klx400 and was wondering what you guys take on the bike.

thanks in advance

IMO its a very good dual sport.
Not up there with the KTM's etc as far as straight out performance goes, but a good bike non the less.
The only criticism I would make is it carries its weight a bit high.
The 2 mates who i ride with most have the 400e.
Bullet proof, low maintenance with good power and reasonable suspension.

Is that the DRZ 400 Dual Sport? Blue? I rode one and man that thing had torque. I could pull the front off the ground in the first 4 gears. Scary power.

That'll be the DRZ400S if it's blue. He speaks of the DRZ400E. It has even more power. You'll love it Deej.

Here is the "Green" version.

Don't forget the 450 "big bore" kit.

that was the one I had my eye on for the longest time. the street-legal one though. my buddy has a DRZ and I kinda liked it but the KLX's seem to be getting harder and harder to find...alas, the Kawi Gods brought me a 250 instead and I'm glad they did....
