I'll admit I to at times dont wear all my gear when its really hot and I now I'm going to be stuck in traffic at low speeds.... Makes me feel naked.

if i wasnt going to wear all my under protector gear under a sweatshirt, i wouldnt wear anything, what would the point be. but on my 7 mile trip to work, i have on all my gear except my knee and leg guards. i will not go on the freeway without pants and full gear.

for anyone that thinks a pair of jeans is a safe alternative to full protection. stop feeding yourself a false sence of security, jeans are about as usefull as a "t" shirt in a slide.

we manage wrecks all the time at the gap, I have a friends bike in my garage now from a high side tonight.

he broke his coller bone but other than that not a scratch.

All gear always for me, I have seen to many times what happends when you dont have it

I can say from experience that good gear is the way to go. Even from my little low speed, low side situation some gear didn't fair to well. I was wearing Icon super duty pants and Icon knee & shin armor. If it weren't for the armor it could have been pretty ugly. That same pair of Icon pants are now riding shorts but I always wear the armor. The pants don't do anything but look nice.

That's an understatement. One time last month I sat down with the shin armor and tried to think and feel my leg without it. I think it would have been fairly nasty. Might not have made my flight out that day. In fact I'm fairly certain I wouldn't have. I won't get on a bike now without the armor. It's a lot less expensive then medical bills...

I'm sure alot of us have experienced our own incidents. But boy, oh boy, Jeans don't do ****, sneakers don't do ****, I am guilty that I was only wearing a hoodie too, but since I was lucky on the upper body. GEAR UP. Cause trust me, this is not fun. Road rash s#cks, it's hurts, and the cleaning process, not pretty (ask walight01 ) But trust me, not having the protection is not smart. I am willing to spend all kinds of money to protect my body.
SO PLEASE EVERYONE, if you enjoy riding, gear up, cause the side lines s#ck.
