Those guys were idiots to race in those conditions. This is tough to watch. RIP Mr. Antonelli.

I agree, RIP.

But what is wrong with the conditions? I bet you that the orgs up north in the states do the same. It is racing and you gear up to meet the conditions. (run OMMRA for a yr or 5). I ran that same condition for yrs. Does it suck? yes ( gear up in this text to me is the ride setup)

Is it safe? probably not but so is running on a 100 degree day. you set your ride for you and what you are comfy on. Again, rip brotha

 

Re: conditions. I may ride to work in those conditions (year 'round) but I sure as heck would NOT want to be racing in them. (Although in some ways...probably much safer!!) HAAA!!

 

Its sick to see the last moments of ones life ..he died doing something he loved tho! .
