$900 - 1992 ZX-600D Parts/Project Bike For Sale, New Info
 

Low-sided my new used bike. Took a corner too fast. I'm offering it up for sale as a parts bike until and if I take the time to repair it, at which point it will no longer be for sale. Check out the post in general chat for more info on what happened and some camera-phone pics.

Engine fired up with first try and no choke; The scraped engine cover is leaking oil out of the bike, a new gasket should fix it, but a cover may be needed also

Transmission shifts, but the engine dies as soon as the clutch is let into its friction zone while the tranny is in gear

Still good on the bike :
Wheels with brand new tires, Continental high performance on front, Dunlop Sport Qualifier on rear.
Fuel tank with custom black paint and blue flake.
Polished steel frame
Headlight and brake light
Zero Gravity windshield
Front and rear brake assemblies which I disassembled and cleaned two days ago.
Engine, as far as I can tell..... but as far as I know it has 20k miles on it. It has started quick and without the choke every time I've started it and it doesn't smoke at all, but I don't have the tools with me to check the spark plugs and I haven't yet changed the oil (I just bought the bike 200 miles ago).

Probably anything else I can't think of here

Bad:
upper fairing bent and paint scratched
Left foot peg and shift lever attachment plate snapped in two - it is adhesived back together now just so I can easily shift between first and neutral, but it should be welded for safety
Transmission -it shifts fine but as soon as the clutch is let into its friction zone, nothing on the bike moves and the engine starts to die
left turn signal cover (all signals still work)
Bent side stand and centerstand, centerstand rubs against drivechain and should be removed

you still have the bike for sale with most of the parts, i took bike mechanice for almost two years and my ex is at a dealership. want to get my first bike and don't mind putting the extra efort into making it mine. let me know it you have it for sale still, i can drive out there next weekend to pick it up but i'm in a roofing apprenticehip right now so i can't leave during the week and sunday isn't long anough for me to drive from canada. let me know either way, thanks.
