aye thanks. rocket I know I'm no where near the situation you're in but man I can relate. Being iscolated is the worst thing ever. Even if you were able to go home, its no easy task getting there. I have to pray that I can leave early enough in the morning while its still dark so that by the time i get to the highway its light out for most of the drive. Out here the sun light cracks about 8:30am and sets at 4:30.

Highway driving is bad because lots of deer. Anyway I'll stop complaining, I'm not the only one out here, and like I say...I have my ****** to keep me warm

 

Yeah, the KF family helps me keep it together too. I know how you feel about missing you and your wife's first Christmas. I missed mine and Rhiannon's first anniversary because I got called up on a 2 week mission in Iowa (My last unit from GA did our two week "summer training" in Iowa... In February... somebody in the unit had a sense of humor). My big one is birthdays. I missed the baby's first birthday because I'm out here. I missed my 4 year old's first birthday because I was in Korea... I know how you feel. Reguardless of what we're doing, we're in the same boat, and I know exactly what you're going through. It's rough, but it gets better. Keep your chin up and everything will be alright man.

 

Very well said man. Appreciate the pep talk too. At least the guys out here I'm working with are pretty good and are in the same boat. Alot of times they are miserable ******.

Ah well it will be all over soon enough...and then I get a nice paycheck.
