Today was a mudder

RE: Today was a mudder
haha, nice.
is that street legal or are the cops just cool where you live and let it slide. |
RE: Today was a mudder
It's street legal, the license plate is just covered with mud.
We did get run off by the cops, though. We were riding a power-line and apparently a bunch of quads had just been through there before us and someone called the cops. Just as we exited the line and were back on the road, a cop flies up with lights flashing and flags us over. He was VERY cool, though. Once he saw that we were street legal, he just told us to stay off the power line right of way because that guy will call the cops every time. He was sympathetic, probably rides too. |

RE: Today was a mudder
ORIGINAL: Finger Mullet Bout time ;) Brian does your tank extend in into the shouds like my adv? Not sure what you mean about the tank. Above is the XC tank which is 3.4 gallons. The stock tank is only 2.1. The XC tank doesn't have separate shrouds - all one piece. Got a photo of your ADV? |
RE: Today was a mudder
sweet!!!! thats the sign of a great fun day!!!

RE: Today was a mudder
Bout time part was ..... bout time for a ride report ;)
Second part, I know the tank is aftermarket......is there gas in the shroud like the arcebis for the klx....thats all. |
RE: Today was a mudder
Ah, got ya. Yeah, I was gettin a little cabin fever, even though I got out last weekend too. Today was especially fun, though - lots of fish tailin around trying to stay up and some pretty knarly muddy hill climbs.
The tank does have gas in the shrouds. The shrouds aren't real thick and goofy looking like the Acerbis, though. I never liked the looks of the Acerbis, but this one looks fine to me and the extra gallon+ is great. I do generally prefer the stock tank, though, which makes the bike thinner and more maneuverable, especially in the tight twisty single track. |
RE: Today was a mudder
BTW, sorry it wasn't much of a ride report - just have that one photo. I wish now I would have stopped and taken more, but you know how it is when you get goin and are getting into the ride, you just don't want to stop.
