Default Some road time

Thought I would post up that I will be gone for a few days. Can we say Road Trip! Whoohoo! (first time since '88) so I am excited. Especially since it would be a nice starter ride to hit the Vegas (MK) run next month. It is a few miles from here (Reno,NV) to this http://oysterrun.org//Directions.htm Will hook up with a few fellow riders in Seattle then to a ferry then to make the destination. All is good. Was told that there are some good curvy's to be had. Hmm, will see you all when I return. Safe riding all'

Ok, I made it back. Logged on 2009 miles from Sat. morning until 2245hrs tonight. I am a sore puppy! lol But the ride and I made it back in one piece. The non oem Q's were set at 32psig front and rear. They seemed to work really well on the dry Washington roads. Will post up pics prolly tomorrow.

There were of course some eventful incidents. No tickets! Knock on Wood lol Was asked to ride in some of the twisties in the area. Nice roads and I wanted to check them out. So I said cool lets ride. I passed for the lead and ended up on the wrong road. I stopped because I did not see my riding buddy, he came up and said wrong way! lol Turned around and hit the correct road. I again passed and was digging how my new suspension and tires were working out for me. I pulled over after about 15 minutes of 60% ride effort for the street..(could have been longer) The road was awesome, 100mph roller coaster hills, the front was lofting over the crests, just ride it out kinda deal. Three times the corner rated signs indicated, that kinda deal. The 10r was hooking up nicely and I felt like a kid in a candy store.

I realized that I did not see my riding buddy, so pulled over again and waited for 5 min's or so expecting for him to show up. hmm, no show. My heart was sinking at that point. So I traveled that section 4 times at maybe 10mph looking. Stopped a few times where I would suspect any bad corners. I did not see any signs. I even waved at 3 motorcycle cops who just kept on going. I thought, maybe he went home since we were supposed to have a bbq happening and he got tired of telling me which way to go lol. So I rode roughly 60 miles to his house. hmm, then the call. Hospital time! Dang Someone else found him and called 911 ( I will find out who called 911 so that I can thank them). So rode back the 60 miles to the hospital. He was wearing full icon gear so no broken bones, but no memory for that hour ride. A nice big gash out of the back of his helmet, some small abrasions where the jacket rode up on his lower back. The gear held up though. I feel kinda guilty for not staying closer and not finding him. But he is doing ok now which is good.
