Default Remember me?

I have been busy finishing up school and just havent kept up with my Kawi brethren, but I'm here to let you know I'm still alive and now have a new bike/project. As you skypers and KSers already know I bought an 07 ZX6R that some kid slamed into an immoveble object and twisted the forks, bent the triple, bent the front rim, broke a motor mount, dented the frame, broke the right rearset, destroyed nearly all the plastics, and the front brake fluid reservior and all the lights have disappeared. My buddy was rebuilding it and sold it to me for 1800 (not knowing about the broken motor mount). The 1800 includes the new forks, triple, and rim. all it needs now is a bit of welding, the rearset, brake reservior, lights and plastics. Of course for that bit of welding, I had to remove the frame, so let the pics begin!

Day one

It looks meaner now than it did before.

And now for Day 2, only took a couple hours to finish up

Frame just needs some last minute prep for welding

It doesnt look like much when its piled into a corner, but there is alot of potential piled up there.

Gonna clean up the dent in the gas tank while its all apart, but it should be back together by next weekend, and as soon as I get the rearset and reservior, it will be time for the first ride. Lights, plastics, and maybe a little paint, and I got a 6k bike for around 3. Oh and the title never got salvaged out, so its clean.

P.S. If you know of any cheap parts, hit me up.

lol, his whole place is falling apart, but I dont even have lights in my garage, so its there untill its done, which is also motivation to get it back together. Just gotta stay on his good side cause I owe him money and my entire bike is prepped for ebay in the corner at his place.

Just finished my degree at the University of North Dakota, the school is paying me to instruct so I'm sticking around until I find a job. Planning on getting home sometime this summer, just need to find the cash money. With the new bike I cant afford the time off

damn, tough riding in full gear. I never got a chance to ride down there. Think I will ride one of my bikes next time I come down and save some cash. even if I stop at a hotel its cheaper than the suburban, but neither one is comfy for long rides.
