So I went to the store the other day to pick up something, probably either meat or mayonnaise, or maybe limes for Gin & Tonics, anyway when I got home I had this gold coin in my pocket. Its a John Adams dollar. So my question is: When did these start showing up, and no wise cracks about me living in the boonies in a one stop light town either........OK maybe a few jokes but really where have I been?

On a related note, my best friend is the Assistant manager at the local Bank of America, and no lie, someone walked in the bank a while back and seriously asked for some of the Aunt Jemima Dollars. I'm not making that up. He said "oh you mean the Susan B Anthony dollar?" The guy was like oh yea that's what I meant. And they had to keep a straight face at least until he left. Now that's funny right there.[8D]

 

And now I know who the second president was, so I guess there is a dual purpose to the coins.
