OCD Project

So I bought this ST 1300 3 years ago and the only thing about the bike that bothered me was the fact that most of the paint on the forks was wore off. The tubes were not pitted, just for some reason the paint had been water blasted off. So last Saturday I was like ok deej brush off the pizza crumbs and go do something. From start to finish it was less than 3 hours. After which I took the bike for a test ride in the rain. I used a 500 watt halogen lamp to cure the paint. Outside temps were around 50. The paint used was a rattle can I bought for touch up on the KLX frame. Its a metallic paint that matched perfect on the ST.

Nice work Deej. I like it!
Wow, great job! That would have driven me crazy too.
Yeah I guess the best OCD medicine is to get rid of the problem. LOL
Looks good. The hat has to go though. :)
LOL Yeah I don't see a market for the fender hat. :D:D:D
Ha ha I didn't even notice that, I thought it was a welder's mask.
Agree with Brien^....you might be onto the ultimate biker welding helmet!!! Just add an auto-darkening lens and adjustable flip-headband!!! You could be RICH!!!!!
BTW, nice job on the forks. I wonder if "jet hot coating" they use on exhaust manifolds would work on those tubes?? Maybe last longer? |
Nice work. congrats. The old pics were just harmfull to us viewers
