New Snow Pics

9 Attachment(s)
Went outside and took these pics a few minutes ago, its starting to melt and even with my Dodge 4X4 I barely made it up the hill this morning. Fresh snow is great to drive in, but when it starts to melt forget it. I should have thrown in a ton of firewood and I could have gone anywhere. School is closed today, and I'm sure my kid is all broke up about it.:D

Yes it is indeed a PIV (Post Indicator Valve to the lay person) the actual valve is 4 ft in the ground, what you see is just the top and the shut off handle.

Same thing with out outside canopy and walkwaysprinkler heads, the valves are inside the building so the water wont freeze.;)

There is no water in any outside pipes. The sprinkler heads designed for outside use have a built in valve about 10 inches inside the wall and if the head goes off it then allows the water to get out. The PIV valves are just a shaft that goes from the top of that red valve all the way down to the valve in the ground that just shuts off the water in a straight line. Same thing with Fire Hydrants.
