Default Lake Michigan Circle Tour - by sportbike :)

I'm going to do it in June. My neighbor and about 4 or 5 others are joining in. Leave Chicago Thursday night, spend the night in Green Bay, head to the UP and cut mostly across on Friday, cross the Mackinac bridge on Saturday and come halfway down the east coast of lake Michigan, finish the ride on Sunday. Approximately 1100 miles.

Entire route

Waypoints/points of interest

Day 1
Day 2
Day 3
Day 4

Anyone want to join in? Departing Chicago on Thursday, June 12, 8pm.

Srob,

Are you a UPER or did your Dad just move up there?

"Yooper"

And no. My dad is ex-USAF and after he retired he wanted to be in the sticks yet close to a base. So we moved there for my freshman year of HS. He is still there, and the base closed in 95, hence the detour towards Lake Superior and tour of the base.

It is a scenic place and has great roads, fun for snowmobiling of course - but it would take a very large pile of cash to get me to live up there again.

Yeah, know what you mean. I also heard the women are mostly ugly in the UP, is that true?

Not necessarily. There are some very nice looking ones around there. Meet my ex-fiance, posing with our old bimmer...

Side note... that was taken the same place as I took this picture last summer when I rode up there to visit dad...
