yeah it's been a while. Had to go to London for work. Was a nice trip. Only blocks away from the "terrorist" attack on the west end of the westminister bridge. BTW, the media blew that **** our of proportion.

nope no good stories....ate some good curry and that was about it. Used to love the beer in that country...it's nothing more than meh to me now.

Is that because their beer changed, or that we've come a long ways from BM&C over the past 20 years?

10Barrel had a tasting at my little hangout last night. A 3.5 yr aged huckleberry sour. Wow.

I think I used to just drink beer and like it but now days since I have my own draft system at home I can taste the balance, cleanliness of the lines and equipment, freshness of beer and potency.


Over there it was hard to find a beer over 5% abv and that was a IPA. Went to a few gastropubs and it was the same thing. Went into a bottle shop and looked at some of their craft beers and same deal 4-5%. I was disappointed and I prefer to drink a couple of good IPA's with a punch instead of filling the gut with carbonation.
