Default Help!

I have a 2006 Ninja 250r. I am new to working on bikes and I am having an issue. By bike will not start by the starter. When I try and start the bike with the starter it makes a buzzing noise on the right side of my bike. I took the fairing off and beside the fuse box there is a small circular object that has a 30 amp fuse. That is what is making the buzzing noise. I replaced the fuse and still is doing the same thing. I can jump start my bike and I can roll start it. I dont know if it is my battery that is bad or that small circular object. Can anyone help?

Sounds like a new battery is in order. Welcome to the forums.

If you can jump start it then its the battery. Do you have a battery maintainer? If not that should be the first thing that a person buys for a bike.

The buzz might be the starter relay. If the battery voltage is too low it won't pull in the contacts properly. If the voltage is good the relay is bad.

Welcome to KF

As mentioned, a low voltage to the starter relay will cause the buzzing sounds and no starts. Solution is as also mentioned, maintain the battery, test it and if it is bad, replace it.

Enjoy
