What if people realise they can afford even better cars by buying them slightly used?

Hi Crash,
well YEAH, who doesn't. I ordered and paid for a complete set of gaskets from the local Kawasaki dealer(stupidio)ship and got 2 sets of base gaskents but
NO head gasket!@!@@!! I was angry. Called dealerdship manager, told to just keep as they didn't charge me for 2, nor for the head gasket.

Soooooooooooo.I says: "....I need a head gasket. When can i expect it in hand?"

He replies, "Ok. No Problem. You pay me $150.00 deposit, I order it and tell you when you can pick it up."

?"Ok" I say, "...so what in 2-4 days?"

He then pauses and slowly says, "Once your deposit clears, Kawasaki emails us in 2-5 business days and THEN it will take anywhere between 2-3 days or 6-9 MONTHS."

"WHAT, are you kidding," I yelled.

Then he says, "Oh, the deposit is non-refundable."

i'M just going to use the old head gasket w/ sealant. Good idea or not?

Wow, my Kaw dealership orders what I tell them using the information I find from the Partzilla Kawasaki parts schematics. They order on Tuesday and usually have available parts Friday or Tuesday after. They're closed on Mondays. Most stuff I have them send me, tensioner gaskets and small stuff. I'd probably go over to pick up the bigger stuff like a cam cover gasket. They're about 40 miles away so it's less cost and hassle to have stuff sent to me in most cases. A good dealership.
